1. Controller
This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is processed in connection with BlockRa, an iPhone application provided by Federica Benacquista. Federica Benacquista is the controller for processing activities carried out directly in connection with the app.
Privacy requests may be sent to support@copycut.it.
2. Description of the service
BlockRa is a caller blocking and caller identification utility for iPhone. The app allows users to create and manage entries used for caller blocking and identification, including individual numbers, lists of numbers, number ranges, and number patterns. The app may also allow users to organize entries with tags and notes, import selected contact information, export app data, synchronize data through iCloud, contact support, view advertising, and access premium functionality.
3. Categories of personal data processed
Depending on how the app is used, BlockRa may process the following categories of data:
- telephone numbers and caller-identification information entered, pasted, imported, generated, blocked, allowed, identified, or otherwise managed by the user;
- entry names, labels, notes, tags, icons, colors, status information, timestamps, and related organizational data;
- contact information selected by the user for import from the iOS Contacts app, and contact information exported by the user through app-supported Contacts workflows;
- data contained in BlockRa import and export files created or opened by the user;
- app preferences and settings, including default dialing prefix, onboarding status, tutorial responses, iCloud sync preference, and locally cached premium entitlement status;
- app usage and measurement events, including feature usage, onboarding and tutorial events, import and export events, purchase-flow events, advertising impression events, and tracking permission status;
- advertising and measurement-related data processed through Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Firebase, and Apple platform controls;
- purchase and entitlement information processed through Apple StoreKit and App Store systems;
- support communications, including the support topic, subject, message, optional screenshots or images selected by the user, and diagnostic information appended to support emails.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- to provide the app’s caller blocking, caller identification, entry management, tagging, import, export, and synchronization functions;
- to store and retrieve user-created app data locally on the device and, where enabled, through iCloud;
- to provide premium functionality, verify purchases, maintain entitlement status, and restore purchases;
- to display advertising in the free experience and manage advertising consent choices where required;
- to measure app usage, improve reliability, understand feature adoption, and assess onboarding, purchase, import, export, and advertising flows;
- to respond to support requests and investigate technical issues reported by users;
- to comply with applicable legal, platform, accounting, security, or regulatory obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be based on performance of the service requested by the user, legitimate interests in operating and improving the app, consent where required for advertising, tracking, analytics, or device permissions, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Local storage and iCloud synchronization
User-created BlockRa data is stored on the user’s device. If iCloud synchronization is enabled and available, app data may also be synchronized through the user’s iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. iCloud synchronization can be managed from the app’s settings, subject to iOS and iCloud availability. Apple’s own terms and privacy practices apply to iCloud and CloudKit processing.
6. Contacts, call identification, and device permissions
BlockRa requests access to Contacts only for functions selected by the user, such as importing contact phone numbers, exporting selected app entries to Contacts, or removing imported source contacts after migration when the user chooses that action. BlockRa uses iOS Call Blocking & Identification capabilities to make eligible caller blocking and identification data available to the operating system.
The app may request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission for advertising measurement. The app may also use iOS image selection and mail composition features when a user chooses to attach screenshots or send a support email.
7. Analytics, advertising, and consent
BlockRa uses Firebase Analytics for app measurement and usage analytics. BlockRa uses Google AdMob to display advertising in the free experience and Google User Messaging Platform to manage advertising consent and privacy options where applicable.
Advertising and analytics providers may process identifiers, device information, consent status, usage events, advertising events, and related measurement data in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies. Users may be able to limit tracking and advertising personalization through iOS settings, App Tracking Transparency choices, and any consent options made available in the app or by the relevant provider.
8. Purchases
Premium purchases and purchase restoration are processed through Apple StoreKit and App Store systems. BlockRa may receive or store entitlement status necessary to provide access to premium features. Payment details are handled by Apple and are not processed directly by Federica Benacquista through BlockRa.
9. Support communications and diagnostics
When a user contacts support through the app, BlockRa prepares an email addressed to support@copycut.it. The email may include the topic, subject, and message entered by the user, optional screenshots or images selected by the user, and diagnostic information intended to assist with troubleshooting.
Diagnostic information may include app version and build, bundle identifier, iOS version and build, device model and identifier, device name, locale, language, time zone, low power mode status, premium status, protection-enabled status, preferred prefix, and timestamp.
10. Third-party recipients
Personal data may be processed by or disclosed to the following categories of recipients:
- Apple, for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, iCloud/CloudKit, Contacts, Mail, Photos, and iOS Call Blocking & Identification services;
- Google Firebase, for analytics and app measurement;
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform, for advertising, ad measurement, consent management, and privacy options;
- email service providers involved in sending, receiving, or storing support communications;
- legal, regulatory, or security recipients where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the app.
11. Retention
Data stored in BlockRa is generally retained for as long as it remains in the app, in the user’s iCloud account where synchronization is enabled, or in export files created by the user. Users may delete app entries, disable iCloud synchronization, remove the app, or delete exported files under their control.
Support emails are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain records of the communication, and protect legal rights. Apple, Google, and email providers apply their own retention periods to data processed by their services.
12. International transfers
Apple, Google, and other service providers may process data in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Where required by applicable law, such transfers are subject to the transfer mechanisms and safeguards adopted by the relevant provider.
13. User rights
Subject to applicable law, users may have the right to request access to personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, portability, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. Users may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
Requests relating to processing controlled by Federica Benacquista may be sent to support@copycut.it. Requests relating to data controlled independently by Apple or Google may need to be submitted through their respective privacy tools.
14. Children
BlockRa is not directed to children below the age at which they may lawfully use the app or provide consent under applicable law. If personal data has been provided by a child in circumstances requiring deletion, contact support@copycut.it.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be made available on this page and will indicate the date of the latest update.
